Sacramento Landscape Design

What I think of first when I think of the word, flagstone, is a camera full of snapshots of various designs of walkways and patios and garden paths, meandering towards a quiet pond or maybe towards a grassy area where children play. I love to see the varied Sacramento landscape designs and shapes and forms that flagstone makes because it is a thing of beauty. The colors and hues and hints and shades of the flagstone are what gives it that warm and homely feeling all over when you come into contact with a driveway or entrance to a house or home.

I have always been enthralled and taken by the various designs of flagstone walkways that I have noticed in home improvement or builders magazines when I flip through them in my local home improvement store. The sheer beauty and attraction of this material is a selling point in itself. The patterns and concrete designs that are possible and popular stretch from the geometric pattern right up and through to the angular and linear shapes and forms. Looking at these various designs is much like looking at a puzzle form where each piece of the puzzle or design seems to fit and sit perfectly into the overall picture. The intricate weaving and working of the flagstone walkways lend an air of elegance and class and is hard to beat. Its cousin, the old and faithful red brick, is always a popular choice by many although it may be a bit more costly than the flagstone, depending on its age. But the wide spectrum of designs and intricacy which the flagstone offers cannot be outdone.
